Name Our Condo Contest Winner Backstage
By on Sep 29, 2010
With the downtown financial district a few minutes' walk away and the pleasures of the historic St. Lawrence Market neighbourhood just as close, Backstage Condos on the Esplanade boasts one of the best locations in the city. These new condos in Toronto are a joint venture by Cityzen Development Group together with partners CastlePoint Realty and Fernbrook Homes.
Located on the southeast corner of Yonge and The Esplanade opposite the Sony Centre, the 36-storey point tower is an elegantly slim glass and steel structure rising from a four-level podium. The roof of the podium will be a garden in the sky complete with a 55-foot swimming pool and cascading waterfall. Backstage's lobby will feature elegant stone accents blending natural materials with contemporary.
Union Station with its Via Rail, Go Train and subway lines is two minutes walk to the west. The Air Canada Centre is an equally short walk across Yonge Street and, of course, the Gardiner Expressway is just a few hundred yards further on.
After their successful "Name Our Condo" promotion during the summer in which their new condominium project on The Esplanade was named "Backstage", Cityzen Development Group, CastlePoint Realty and Fernbrook Homes wanted to continue their relationship with followers online.
The result -- Virtual Broker, a new program where anyone can refer their friends and contacts to register on the Backstage website and receive prizes. The prizes include two movie passes for 10 referrals, a $50 iTunes gift card for 25 referrals, a $500 Eaton's Centre Gift Card for 55 referrals and for 75 referrals, an iPad. If any one of the referrals actually purchases a suite at Backstage, the person referring will receive $2,500 cash. For some, that may also help in the down payment of their own condominium suite. The Virtual Broker program will be in effect until the end of November.
"We were amazed by the incredible participation in the Name Our Condo contest," says Sam Crignano, partner in Cityzen Development. "Over 3,000 people submitted a name and in excess of 100,000 unique visitors from 140 countries came to the website to vote on a name or just watch the progress of the names as they received votes throughout the six week campaign. We wanted to maintain contact with those supporters and give them another opportunity to be part of our marketing campaign."
Details of the Virtual Broker program are clearly outlined on the Backstage website.
