Minto Westside is 60% sold and now under construction!

Minto recently celebrated breaking ground at Minto Westside in Toronto. The Minto team, purchasers, partners, and neighbourhood guests were in attendance to celebrate the milestone.
While waiting for the speeches to start, guests were invited to lunch at Smoke’s Burritorie food truck and then grab dessert at the Original Chimney food truck. The celebration took place on site so everyone had a chance to snap a few photos of the heavy machinery hard at work.
“We’re starting construction on the first two towers, Minto Westside, the east tower, and Bside, which we just launched in the fall,” explained Amanda Wilson Watkins, Vice-President of Marketing and Sales for Minto. “Sales have been amazing. After we launched in the spring market, things really took off and now that the site has movement on it, there’s been a real big boost in interest from people in the area.”
There was an Investor Program offered at Minto Westside a little while ago, which grabbed the attention of many. “The Investor Program was a very successful push for us,” Watkins says. “With that, we saw non-typical investors, which was really nice. They were people in the area who were investing in King West because they see the potential that it has for rental.”
Now that construction is underway and passersby can see that this development is moving along quickly, Minto is starting to see more end-users expressing interest. “We’re offering the best price per square foot in the submarket, so we’ve managed to keep it affordable for people,” says Watkins.
Before the photo op in front of the backhoe, President of Minto, David Stewart, addressed the crowd: “This is a monstrous day for Minto and all of our partners. The Westside project has been many, many years in the making, and we’re very excited to have it underway. It’s impossible to even think of, let alone thank everybody that’s been involved to date.”
“I want to thank everybody, mostly importantly, the homebuyers. We kind of wouldn't be doing it without you and the few that have come out, thanks very much,” Stewart added. “Our commitment is that were going to give you a great experience and a great home to move into, and a great investment for you and your family.”
