The Mercer Climbing Fast in Toronto

Recently, Newinhomes.com had the opportunity to take a construction tour of The Mercer, a new condo in Toronto’s Entertainment District by Graywood Developments and Beaverhall Homes.
The last time we visited The Mercer, in June 2013, the construction crew was still working on the parking levels. This week, they are pouring the slab on the 24th floor. The lift only went up to floor 18, but we obviously hoofed it up a few floors to take in the views from the height of construction.
When The Mercer is complete, it will stand 33 storeys, so Graywood and Beaverhall are expecting to top off sometime this summer. The windows have been installed up to floor six, and window panes have been delivered as high up as floor nine. Window installation is moving along at a pace of approximately two floors a week!
We also visited the sixth floor terrace, the amenity spaces, and a few units on the lower levels. The sixth floor terrace is way more spacious in person than in the renderings, and the projection wall for the outdoor theatre has been built. The amenity spaces are coming together quickly, especially the fitness facility, which just had its noise reducing floor installed. The units still have a long way to go, but rough in work is underway.

The Mercer features a wide variety of unit types, from studios to three-bedrooms, with sizes ranging up to more than 1,100 square feet.
