Marz Garage gives Hamilton talent the exposure they deserve!

We’re getting into the holiday spirit and taking a moment to look back at a major initiative that Marz Homes launched this year in order to give back to the communities in which they build. Through multiple sponsorships and the creation of unique original content, Marz Homes is supporting and promoting Hamilton’s arts and culture scene.
With help from Sonic Unyon Recording Company, Marz Homes launched Marz Garage in the summer, a web-based series that gives musicians and performers the opportunity to perform at Mills Hardware downtown Hamilton or on-location at Marz sponsored events.
The performances are recorded along with short interviews where the artists can tell their story and promote their upcoming releases or shows. The episodes are released by Marz Homes via social media.
The first episodes showcase the likes of local superstars Laura Cole and Alfie Smith, as well as newcomers like Jennifer Budd. Other episodes feature young musicians from An Instrument For Every Child’s (AIFEC) Jambassador program.
The beginning of the series led up to Hamilton’s renowned Supercrawl, an incredible art festival featuring live entertainment and open galleries that takes over the downtown. Marz sponsored performances by AIFEC and the Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra.
The next series of episodes is currently in production and will be released leading up to another Marz-sponsored event, Braden’s Hot Chocolate Festival.
“Since the arts community is a rapidly growing sector in Hamilton that is inspiring and encouraging to our future generations, we have been focusing our community involvement in this area,” says Dan Gabriele, President, Marz Homes. “We decided we wanted to take our support to a new level to really help these local musicians gain exposure to new audiences and connect with their fans, so we’ve created the Marz Garage. We’re very excited by the success of our first series of episodes and look forward to finding new talent to promote!”
Marz Homes has established a philosophy of “building strong communities.” When a builder understands that communities are about more than bricks and mortar, and that a neighbourhood is actually made of people and families, you can be confident that your new home is in a location with a bright future.
There are a few communities in the works by Marz Homes, including Cortland Ancaster, South Coast Village at Crystal Beach, and Azure West in Grimsby.
Cortland Ancaster is a new community of townhomes that will be launching in spring 2017. Marz Homes is bringing back their SMARTtown designed homes, promoting a low maintenance lifestyle.
At the award-winning South Coast Village, Phase 2 is currently under construction and there is a new release coming soon! There’s also a new release coming to Azure West and Phase 1 is sold out. Stay tuned - Marz Homes will also be announcing a new community soon!
