Looks like Kitchener may be a hot spot for new low-rise sales
By Lucas on Apr 07, 2016
A month after Trimart Research Corporation announced that Brampton, Pickering, and Oakville were topping the list of most new low-rise sales with sales in the triple digits already for 2016, they have announced that Brampton is still on top!
Brampton has already seen 751 sales, while Pickering has maintained its spot in second with 455 year-to-date sales. Oakville was in third place for a while, but popular and successful openings in Milton put the city in third with a total of 356 sales. With 211 sales this year, Kitchener has caught our attention, so we’ll be keeping a close eye on it throughout the spring!
Listed below are a few notable low-rise sites of the last month:
Duffin's Village by Coughlan Homes
Placing first on this week’s Trimart Hot Spots list is a community in a city that isn’t in the top 3 for sales; Coughlan Homes sold out their Duffin’s Village community in Ajax, making 147 sales during opening month. The community featured 25’ townhomes and 40’ detached homes, ranging from 1,718 to 2,618 square feet, with prices starting at $539,990. This is the second time in the last few weeks that Trimart has reported a sold out Ajax community!
Wildflowers by Mattamy Homes
Coming in second with 70 sales last month is Wildflowers, Mattamy Homes’ wildly successful Kitchener community. The village homes and suites, and 30’, 36’, and 43’ detached homes are all sold out now. There is a selection of garden suites and rear lane townhomes available, ranging from 1,001 to 1,354 square feet, with prices starting at just $209,990. Where else can you get more than 1,000 square feet of living space with prices in the low $200,000s?
Vistas of Meadowlands by Devonleigh Homes
The third position is taken by Vistas of Meadowlands, a community in Orangeville by Devonleigh Homes that saw 18 sales last month. The community features townhomes sized at 1,307 square feet, with prices starting at $359,990.
Valleyview by Sorbara
Following closely in fourth is Valleyview, Sorbara’s new community in Beeton. During opening month, there were 17 sales at Valleyview. Beeton has never been featured on the Trimart Hot Spots list before, so in case you’re wondering, it’s located near Alliston in Simcoe County. Valleyview features 40’ and 50’ detached homes ranging from 1,910 to 3,820 square feet, with prices starting as low as $567,990.
The final position on this week’s Trimart Hot Spots list is taken by a Kaitlin Group community, simply called Sunderland, which is located in - you guessed it - Sunderland. There were 15 sales at Sunderland last month. The community features 30’, 36’, and 50’ detached homes, ranging from 1,081 to 3,000 square feet, with prices starting at just $349,990.
