Spreading cheer at this time of year is a long-standing tradition of Kylemore Communities. At the company’s Annual Holiday Party held to thank suppliers, trades, staff, consultants and friends, a Toy & Gift Drive resulted in literally hundreds of generous donations from guests who attended the festivities at The School Fine Dining in Markham.
Russell Foy, a volunteer and member of the Unionville Alliance Church (UAC) arrived to collect the toys and thanked Kylemore’s President Patrick O’Hanlon and the many contributors for helping to make a significant difference in the lives of area families. Foy expressed his appreciation on behalf of the organizers of the 2013 Christmas Food and Toy Drive, “UAC would like to thank everyone for your donations. We will use all donations to serve 175 families in the local community and each family will receive a food hamper including a turkey and presents for all family members.”
Kylemore Communities is committed to lending a hand to charities and non-profit organizations in areas in which it builds. Throughout the year, the company hosts events that reflect this spirit. In the past six years, the Annual Kylemore Kares Charity Golf Tournament has raised over $600,000 for charity.Speaking about the Holiday Season, Patrick O’Hanlon commented “It is really heartwarming to see the number of toy and gift donations grow each year. Our industry friends are very generous and we are grateful for their contributions.”Since 1997 Kylemore has been developing and building prestigious Angus Glen Community in Markham.
