Kylemore collects hundreds of toys for families across York Region

For the third consecutive year, Kylemore Communities hosted their annual holiday party in order to collect food and toys for families in need across York Region. Over 400 guests attended the holiday party, and Kylemore asked each one of them to bring a gift to donate. All of the contributions were donated to the Christmas Food and Toy Drive, which was organized by the Unionville Alliance Church (UAC).
“We are extremely grateful to Kylemore and their many partners for the wonderful boost our annual toy drive receives,” said Russell Foy, UAC, Hampers for Hope volunteer. “With their support we have been able to increase the number of families we help at this time of year.”
Kylemore Communities is no stranger to supporting those in need within the York Region community, especially in Markham where all of their current projects are located. Over the last eight years, Kylemore has raised $1 million for charities and local organizations through their Annual Kylemore Kares Charity Golf Tournament.
“Lending a hand to help others is what unites a community and strengthens our ties to each other,” said Kylemore President, Patrick O’Hanlon. “It is part of our DNA to give generously, and it’s heartwarming to know that the Christmas Season will be brighter for many children because of the generous donations our guests made to the toy drive.”
