This will be the First Project for Kravitz Design Inc. in Canada
Lifetime Developments, together with INK Entertainment, have enlisted Kravitz Design Inc. led by international icon Lenny Kravitz to envision an exclusive floor for the much-anticipated BISHA Hotel and Residences. This bespoke environment will be inspired by the music, art and travels of Lenny Kravitz.
Forty-one storeys above Toronto’s entertainment district,
BISHA is the first location for an entirely new standard of elegant private residences and boutique hotel environment. BISHA is the realization of entrepreneur and CEO of Ink Entertainment Charles Khabouth (La Société, Guvernment) and Sam Herzog and Mel Pearl, Principals of Lifetime Developments (Four Seasons Hotel and Residences Toronto, The Yorkville Condominiums) to bring the very best in design, cuisine and music to culturally-savvy, urban trendsetters.
“The goal with the Kravitz curated floor – as with the entire development – is to create a stimulating and exciting place for people to live and visit. Our intention with BISHA is to grow this brand internationally and collaborating with Kravitz Design Inc. once again demonstrates that we are dedicated to bringing the right team together to deliver on this commitment,” says Mel Pearl, principal of Lifetime Developments.
Kravitz, Khabouth and Pearl will collaborate on the hotel level, marrying their shared aesthetic of all things luxurious, cool and intriguing. Utilizing exquisite materials and opulent furnishings, the Kravitz floor will accentuate the glamour and elegance behind BISHA’s concept of creating a new kind of international living that is both iconic and artfully conceived.
“One of my passions is creating unique environments that people can interact with,” said Lenny Kravitz. “I have found that Charles has that same passion and the desire to engage people and give them memorable experiences. I am looking forward to working with Charles and the BISHA principals to create Toronto’s next must experience environment.”
This isn’t the first foray into the hotel arena for Kravitz Design, having previously conceptualized The Florida Room at the Delano for Morgans Hotel Group, and the recording studio at The Setai South Beach for The Setai Group.
"We are incredibly excited to partner with Kravitz Design," says Charles Khabouth of the partnership. "Both Lenny and I have a mutual passion for bringing spaces to life through design. His aesthetic defines what we want to achieve with BISHA. It's urban, dynamic and cosmopolitan."
BISHA will offer in-house entertainment, sophisticated food and beverage service, cutting-edge amenities and personal services – all within more than 30,000 dedicated sq. ft. The 332 condominium suites will be located on floors 10 to 39 in sizes from 379 sq. ft. to more than 2,500 sq. ft. to achieve a timeless appeal. The 100 hotel rooms will offer an awe-inspiring aesthetic comprised of sheer lace, subtle leather, etched glass, rich granite, brilliant chrome, sumptuous marble and solid brass cohabiting in imaginative surroundings to appeal to the jet set and local trailblazers alike. Residents and guests will enjoy two bars, two restaurants, a 24-hour café, a 7,000 square-foot rooftop patio, and an infinity pool overlooking the city.
Suite finishes will include ceilings that soar up to 9 feet in height; sleek kitchens with granite and/or marble countertops and brand name European-style appliances; stacked washer and dryer; hardwood flooring in principal rooms; ensuites with soaker tub and/or separate frameless glass shower - all as per plan. Interiors and amenities are designed by internationally-renowned Munge Leung.
