The only Toronto address that can provide the centrality, accessibility, and hipness can be found at the corner of King Street and Blue Jays Way – an absolutely centre ice location and the site of King Blue Condominiums.

King Blue Condos Toronto Easton's Group

Brimming with theatre life, haute cuisine and shopping, the location caters to couples, professionals and families who appreciate being able to walk to venues such as the Air Canada Centre, Rogers Centre and Roy Thomson Hall. Add the combination of incredible architecture that incorporates the façade of the historic Westinghouse building and contemporary elegant interiors, and King Blue Condos is sure to make Toronto-lovers salivate at the prospect of living in the heart of it all.

Steve Gupta, President and CEO of Easton’s Group, currently owns 15 hotels under the flags of Marriott, Hilton and IHG, Mr. Gupta says that the Toronto market is very strong and will remain this way because of immigration, low interest rates and the fact that condo prices in Toronto are still lower than comparable major cities in the world! Many young professionals are looking to buy a condo at such a triple-A centralized location. “We will do our best to make King Blue a destination!” While King Blue is his first condo project – he says he simply won’t sleep until it’s the very best the city has seen and will set new standards: “The facilities that we are adding there will be excellent. We are adding 13,000 sq. ft. to 35,000 sq. ft. of retail on the ground and second floors. The rooftop patio will be the best that Toronto has to offer! Our plan is to bring a more chic and urban type of Yorkville here.”

For design, Easton’s Group of Hotels enlisted the best in the city: Page + Steele / IBI Group Architects and interior design firm Munge Leung. Mansoor Kazerouni of Page + Steele / IBI Group Architects led his team in the reconstruction of this heritage site. Large modern podiums will sit in architectural contrast to the traditional warehouse styling and terra cotta detailing on the original building. “Rather than try to match the brick of the heritage façade,” he explains, “we chose to introduce a darker brick in the new podium, which highlights the features of this unique building.” The Westinghouse façade will be separated from the new podium by a clear glass reveal punctuating the entrance to the central courtyard.

King Blue Condos will also house Theatre Museum Canada, an education and exhibition centre paying tribute to the art of theatre – musical and otherwise. This will occupy a portion of the ground floor courtyard and the building’s second floor.

The wow factor at King Blue is exceptional in the front lobby, where marble and granite floors lead up to a fireplace set against a gigantic wall built from thousands of blades of glass and backlit by tranquil blue. Residents driving through the courtyard between both towers will feel the blue glow emanating from both lobbies, similar to being in film noir.

Alessandro Munge, Managing Partner of interior design firm Munge Leung, says the amenities at King Blue Condos are so fantastic that residents may not even want to go out. “We’ve created spaces that become warm environments where people can congregate and enjoy themselves. The large rooftop terrace, the cabanas, the floating fire-pits – all these places welcome people to invite their friends and families over.”

To foster community, one large amenity area is positioned between the 48- and 44-storey towers. A unique feature of the 5,800 sq. ft. rooftop is the 15-20 foot ivy-covered metal trellis that will create a romantic canopy – something unexpected in an urban development.

Timeless suites foster a European, yet contemporary look. “We’re always faced with the challenge of being able to stay aesthetically cool in three years time,” explains Mr. Munge, “For this reason, the use of warm woods, granite, and stone were obvious choices.” Chic kitchen cabinetry blends seamlessly into the open-concept space. For the bathrooms, functionality and design were married in places like conveniently constructed cubby-holes, drawers, and medicine cabinets – all coordinated with simple sophistication. Suite sizes will range from 400 sq. ft. to 1,100 sq. ft. and prices will start in the mid $200,000’s.
