Kevin James Picks up Florida Home for $18.5 Million

Kevin James, also known as “Doug Heffernan” or “Paul Blart,” has just purchased an estate in Delray Beach, Florida, for a whopping $18.5 million.
This either means that Kevin James is a really, really, really, funny guy, or everyone needs to step up their taste in comedies. Cheap shot? Okay, it is pretty funny when he falls down in his movies.
The Delray Beach estate sits on a 1.85-acre lot, has eight bedrooms, 10.5 bathrooms, and 12,828 square feet of living space – more than enough room for him, his wife, Steffiana de la Cruz, and their three kids.
The Mediterranean style mansion has all the typical celebrity amenities: a giant saltwater pool, an outdoor cabana with a kitchen, a guest house, a sports court, a gym, a billiards rooms, a meditation room, a spa, a wine room, an area for the kids to play, and staff quarters.
Wait. Wait. Kevin James has live-in staff? This seems odd for some reason. We know, we know – he was a big hit on “King of Queens,” and he’s best buddies with Ray Romano, also he’s been in a couple movies with Adam Sandler, and even starred in “Hitch” with Will Smith, but it is still difficult to picture Kevin James sipping Merlot in his wine room, while his butler stands quietly to the side awaiting his next order. Actually, it’s even funny picturing that. Damn – Kevin James is just a funny guy. Also, we secretly like “Paul Blart: Mall Cop.” It’s a touching movie. There, we said it.
If you think this $18.5 million home isn’t enough for Kevin James and his family, you might be right. Kevin James also owns two homes in Encino, California – a five-bed he picked up for $1.45 million in 2002, and a seven-bed he got for $3.2 million in 2003.
