June Theme: Sustainability
By Lucas on Jun 02, 2013
Now that June is here, the city is looking greener, the flowers have bloomed, and the parks are full of friends and families. This month, on the Newinhomes.com Blog, we’re focusing on Sustainability in the new home industry, so that we can inform everyone and ourselves on how to better protect our environment, so that every June is as beautiful as this one.
Sustainability is essentially the capacity to endure. When we apply this term to the development of our cities, we are discussing how our society coexists with the natural environment in which we build, and what actions we take to make this relationship harmonious.
For all of June, we will be discussing sustainable practices on a variety of levels, from what you can do as a homeowner to be more environmentally friendly, to what developers and homebuilders can and are doing.
We have some very exciting interviews lined up for Sustainability Month, as well as a field trip or two. We will also be featuring weekly contributions from a special guest blogger, Tony Margani of EVOpaint. Margani will be discussing the negative effects that paint has on the environment, and some of the best ways for you, as a homeowner, to go about repainting your home in an environmentally friendly manner.
We hope you find this month’s Sustainability theme informative and interesting. If you happen to have some knowledge of sustainable practices that you would like to contribute, please do not hesitate to contact lucas@homebuyers.com
