Hundreds Attend the VIP Opening of Lotus Pointe in Caledon
By Lucas on Sep 23, 2014
Last weekend, the Lotus Pointe builders, Fieldgate Homes, Greenpark, Rosehaven, and Starlane, hosted a successful VIP opening on a brisk Caledon morning.
For the VIP opening, each builder was releasing around 40 homes. The community as a whole will feature townhomes, semi-detached homes, and singles, with prices starting from the mid $400,000s.
The appointments started at 10 am, and as typically seen with these multi-builder master-plans, homebuyers were arriving up to an hour early just to get a parking spot. Those who arrived closer to 10 am ended up parking along Hwy 10. By 10:30 am, the parking lot was completely full and both sides of Hwy 10 were lined with cars.
It has been a while since the Newinhomes.com team has ventured up to Caledon for an opening - we forgot how amazing the drive is. Caledon’s natural scenery is easily some of the best in Ontario. The rolling landscape and heavily forested areas provide a tranquil atmosphere that is unparalleled in the Greater Toronto Area. Much of the Caledon lands are protected, like the Heart Lake Conservation Area, so you know that the majority of your beautiful surroundings are there to stay.
Move up to Caledon at Lotus Pointe
The best thing about living in Caledon is that it allows for an all-season lifestyle. That means no matter what the season, whether it’s 30 degrees celsius or snowing heavily, there is always something to do for those who choose to live a healthy and active lifestyle.
With a population a little higher than 59,000, Caledon is not huge, but its recreational facilities are designed to accommodate not only residents of Caledon, but also tourists. In many ways, Caledon can be considered a resort town.
During the spring, summer, and fall, Caledon’s golf courses are well attended by avid golfers from all around Ontario. Mayfield Golf Club and Banty’s Roost Golf Course are right next to each other, and the Devil’s Paintbrush is located in Caledon East. One of the largest golf clubs in Caledon is Caledon Country Club, which is located McLaughlin Road and Old Base Line.
Caledon is also known for its equestrian facilities. Having easy access to highly regarded equestrian schools and parks, such as Caledon Equestrian School, Southern Reflection Equestrian Centre, and Wolf Run Farm promotes healthy and active living for the whole family.
When that snow starts falling, pack away those golf clubs and get the skis and snowboards out of storage. Of course, Ontario is not known for its mountainous terrain, and the closest thing to a challenge is Blue Mountain. But, in Caledon, there is an exclusive private hill called Caledon Ski Club, where the line-ups are short, the snow is powdery, and there are a couple beautiful chalets in which warm up after a long day of riding with friends and family. The hills aren’t exactly black diamonds, but the short line-ups easily make up for the shorter runs.
Register for Lotus Pointe
A couple hundred homebuyers came out for the VIP opening of Lotus Pointe, but there is still a great selection of towns, semis, and singles, which will be available to the public starting October 4, 2014.
