Urbancorp is awaiting approval for their latest mixed-use project after submitting an application to the city of Toronto earlier last week.
Assuming compliance, the development, The Homes of St. Clair West, located at 836 St Clair Ave W will feature 96,024 square feet of residential space and 11,614 square feet of retail space, with a total of 81 parking spaces located below grade. Having already worked together on many other projects, Urbancorp is teaming up with TACT Architects for this modern townhome community.
Surrounded by a vast selection of restaurants, a subway station conveniently situated just minutes away and excellent fashion boutiques and shops to choose from, this is the ideal location for a low-rise development project, which is exactly what Urbancorp has in mind. The city application outlines Urbancorp’s intention to build 17 bachelor units, 94 one-bedroom units and 16 two-bedroom units.
With The Rockport Group’s plan to start construction this winter on The Nest Condos, a mid-rise building just across the road, it’s surprising to see Urbancorp opt to build a low-rise development. Urbancorp and TACT’s ability to study this mature area and design a project that can blend into the pre-existing fabric of it’s unique environment depicts a valuable characteristic to the growing community.
Located on the peripheral of the urban core, The Homes of St. Clair West is masterfully planned for prospective homeowners who seek to be in close proximity of downtown amenities, without being in the thick of it. Similar to the designs of Urbancorp’s other townhome developments, VAL (located in Etobicoke) and The Neighbourhoods of Downsview Park, The Homes of St. Clair West offer stunning ultra-modern architectural designs, making for an attractive, stylish community.
Between the established area of St. Clair and Dufferin in Toronto, other low-rise buildings nearby are currently selling from $700,000 and up. The Homes of St. Clair West is currently in the early preconstruction phases. To register, click here.
