Homebuyers continue to flock to new home openings and releases
By Lucas on Apr 12, 2016
With the new low-rise inventory hitting record lows, homebuyers have their fingers on the pulse and builders are aggressively marketing their new openings and releases, says Trimart Research Corporation.
Last month, there were around 30 new openings and releases, and homebuyers flocked to each of them. Oshawa and East Gwillimbury in particular drew some pretty large crowds last month.
Listed below area few notable low-rise sites of the last month:
Horizon by Lormel Homes
Placing first on this week’s Hot Spots list is Horizon, a new Bradford community by Lormel Homes. The community features 30’, 38’, and 47’ detached homes, ranging from 1,900 to 3,770 square feet, with prices starting from as low as $535,990. Bradford hasn’t been featured on the Hot Spots list much. We’ll see if Bradford becomes a more popular city for new low-rise communities after this busy spring season.
Urban Towndominiums by Rosehaven Homes
Coming in a close second with 27 sales recently is Mount Pleasant (Urban Towndominiums), a popular Brampton community by Rosehaven Homes. The community features urban townhomes, townhomes, as well as 30’, 38’, 41’, and 45’ detached homes, ranging from 838 to 3,715 square feet. Prices are starting from $329,990. This is a great opportunity for younger buyers to purchase in a booming city!
Avalon by Savic Homes
Tying for second is Avalon Urban Towns, a community in Kitchener by Savic Homes, which saw its 27 sales during the opening month. The urban townhomes at Avalon range from 743 to 1,133 square feet and prices start at $219,900. Last week, Trimart predicted that Kitchener would be a hot spot for new low-rise homes this year, and so far, they seem to be right.
Westfield by Great Gulf
The third spot is taken by Westfield, Great Gulf’s successful community in Brampton. With 10 sales recently, the 24’ townhomes are now sold out, but there will be a new release of them coming soon. There is a selection of 20’ townhomes ranging from 2,100 to 2,465 square feet, with prices starting at $530,990. These luxury townhomes are larger than your average townhome in Brampton!
Harbourside by Senator Homes
The final position on this week’s Trimart Hot Spots report is taken by Harbourside, a community in Whitby by Senator Homes that saw five sales recently. Harbourside features urban townhomes ranging from 708 to 1,322 square feet with prices starting at $280,990.
