Holiday Model Home Tours at Kleinburg Crown Estates!

Last weekend, we attended the Triple Crown Holiday Model Home Tour put on by Caliber, Monarch, and SkyHomes. Between the three builders, there were four model homes that were decorated for the holidays, and there was even a gift raffle at each of the models. Those who toured during the weekend had the chance to win a $350 gift certificate to either Avenue Cibi e Vini, Holt Renfrew, or Swarovski.

The Hampshire

Cynara Fenuta of Lush Floral Boutique was responsible for the elegant holiday decor in each of the homes. The dining room tables were accented by elaborate bouquets, the living rooms had large, bright Christmas trees, stockings hung from the fireplace mantels, and snowflakes and other floral arrangements were spread throughout the homes.

Our first stop was at Monarch’s two models. We toured The Hampshire Elevation C first, a 2,994 square foot model on a 50’ lot. This is the coziest of the four models, featuring about half the living space as the rest of them. At nearly 3,000 square feet, there is a lot you can do with this floorplan, and Monarch presents it beautifully with simple, high quality furniture. Just look at that living room; can’t you picture your family opening gifts on christmas morning in front of the fireplace? We also really like the soaring windows at The Hampshire; it makes for such bright living spaces, and everything seems even more open.

Monarch’s other model home is right next door. The Essex Elevation C is a 6,047 square foot model on a 50’ lot, and it features a finished lower level. At more than double the size of The Hampshire, The Essex was very impressive. Sometimes with large floorplans, it can be difficult to create a sense of connection between the living areas, but Monarch nailed it with the flow of this home. No one space feels totally isolated, which is great for raising a family.

A few of the interior features and finishes that really stood out were the granite countertops, beautifully stained oak staircase, the large ceramic backsplash in the kitchen, and the mirror wall feature in the family room. Our next stop was at The Sofia, a 6,550 square foot model with a finished basement by Caliber Homes. As far as decor goes, The Sofia was very different from the two Monarch models. Dark woods, silver, and chrome are used throughout, except for in the kitchen, where everything from the floors, cabinetry, to island are white and cream coloured. Because of the stark contrast between the kitchen and the rest of the home, the kitchen was stood out as a natural gathering place, especially since there is enough room for a whole dining table in addition to the kitchen island, which seats three.

Our favourite feature of The Sofia was the built in flatscreen television above the long, narrow fireplace in the living room. It’s a space saver and it just looks slick! Caliber’s single detached offerings at the community start at $799,990 and are available on 42’, 50’, and 60’ lots.

The final stop on our model home tour at Kleinburg Crown Estates was at The Opal, SkyHomes 6,601 square foot model. The Opal was more similar to the Monarch models because of the brighter colours used throughout.

What made this model really stand out from the rest was the finished loft level on the third floor of the home. The entire third floor features a bedroom and a living space, perfect for an older child in the family. Prices for the homes offered by SkyHomes at Kleinburg Crown Estates start at $799,990, with lots measuring 42’, 50’, and 60’.
