Here is your first look at the renderings for Southdown Towns!

Newinhomes.com recently interviewed Colin Pillar, Vice President, Development & Construction, United Lands, about their new Mississauga project, Southdown Towns. At the time, we had not seen a rendering of the project, but now we have one!
The back-to-back, three-storey townhomes boast a contemporary design, featuring a contrasting brick facade, spacious rooftop terraces, and large windows that allow in an abundance of natural sunlight. It’s also important to note that around Southdown Towns there will be a pedestrian promenade and green space in a park-like setting.
There are 104 townhomes at Southdown Towns, ranging from approximately 1,400 square feet to 1,950 square feet. The terraces will have water and gas hook-ups, so you can easily set up an outdoor summer kitchen and entertain friends and family. It’s common to see rooftop terraces with a gas hook-up, but having water up there is rare.
When we were chatting with Colin, he mentioned that the average age of people registering was around 35 years old. Southdown Towns is an infill project near Clarkson GO Station, so it’s attracting buyers who may currently own a condo downtown Toronto and are ready to move-up into something more spacious.
The Building Industry and Land Development Association (BILD) recently released its new home market sales figures for August 2016, announcing that the new low-rise market has hit a record low supply and record high average price.
As of the end of August, there were only 1,379 new low-rise homes available across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). With supply so low and demand so high, the average price shot up to $931,506, which is a 16% increase compared to last year.
Even if you own a condo in downtown Toronto right now, it’s becoming difficult to find an affordable move-up option. That’s why Southdown Towns is getting so much attention. With prices starting at $625,000 and the close proximity to the GO Station, these townhomes are an amazing opportunity for professionals working in the Financial District.
If you’re living in a smaller condo and you’re ready to make a move to a larger home, but have grown accustomed to not driving to work, then you should definitely register for Southdown Towns.
Located on Bromsgrove just steps from the Clarkson GO Station, Southdown Towns is also close to Oakville, Burlington, and Hamilton, so if you work to the west, this community is an exciting opportunity.
And we haven’t even mentioned how great the neighbourhood is. There is existing residential surrounding the site - so all of the amenities you need on a daily basis are already there. You can move into a new home and not have to wait for the neighbourhood to be built up around you. There are grocery stores, schools, banks, parks, Lake Ontario, walking trails, restaurants, coffee shops - you name it, you will find it here!.
