Our favourite holiday season is almost here! With so much to do in such little time, you might want to get your day planner out and write down this date! This year’s festivities start off November 30th with the 47th annual Cavalcade of Lights. Presented by Great Gulf, everyone’s invited to join the celebration which will be held at Nathan Phillips Square starting at 7 p.m.

In great Toronto tradition, this fun-filled evening offers engaging activities for all ages, featuring the illumination of Toronto’s official Christmas tree, live performances by top Canadian musicians, and a vibrant fireworks show. Don’t forget to bundle up and bring your skates! Open-air skating in the most picturesque rink of the entire city starts after the show.

You can expect to see performances by well-known pop star Tyler Shaw to start off the night at 7 p.m. followed by Etobicoke native Cold Specks, award-winning R&B/soul singer Divine Brown and Grammy Award-winner Carvin Winans.

Don’t miss the breathtaking first lighting of the official Christmas tree sponsored by Great Gulf, or the fantastical fireworks display at 8 p.m. After all, it only happens once a year! The celebration doesn’t end here either, at 8:15 p.m. you can catch a live concert sponsored by Keurig and skate on the moonlit ice.
