With a few days reaching over 15 degrees celsius in February, we’re already in spring mode. The first official day of spring is only a few weeks away, so we’ll be featuring some season inspired blog posts to get you and your home ready for the warm weather!
As usual, we’ll hear from local gardening and interior design experts on how to take advantage of the beginning of spring. We’ll be sharing some creative cleaning tips, safety tips for those getting around on two wheels in the city, and many other special features.
After a long, cold winter, March is always welcomed with open arms from everyone around the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). Aside from the shining sun, warm weather, and blooming flowers, GTA residents have another reason to get excited about the spring; it’s going to be a busy season for builders, developers, and homebuyers.
Last month, the Building Industry and Land Development Association (BILD) announced that the new condo inventory hit a 10-year low, and the new low-rise supply fell to 1,524 homes, a near record low. Of these new low-rise homes, only 534 of them were detached homes. Despite rising prices, families are still holding on to the dream of owning a detached home, partially because in the springtime, they enjoy having their own private outdoor space.
Typically, spring is one of the busiest times of the year for the new home industry. Many builders and developers are either ready to open a new site or development, or are in the planning phases for a later spring opening. Either way, this is the time that a lot of news begins to break about upcoming communities.
It’s already happening. DIAM Developments has teased Radiance in Innisfil, Rosehaven and Homes By DeSantis will be launching On The Ridge 2 in Stoney Creek in the first week of April, Branthaven is launching Life Towns in Winona soon, and Richlands by Arista, DECO Homes, Fieldgate Homes, and OPUS Homes is coming soon to Richmond Hill!
The new condo market is just as busy. We’ve already received news about a number of upcoming releases, including Pemberton’s Time and Space in Toronto, Daniels’ return to the Mississauga City Centre with a new condo, Marlin Spring unveiled the rendering for WestBeach Condominiums in Toronto, and Vaughan is getting a new high-rise by Cortel!
