Geranium Homes presents truckloads of food to the Whitchurch-Stouffville Food Bank

A sign of a good homebuilder is their voluntary contribution to the communities in which they build. For the seventh year, Geranium Homes has made a significant contribution to the Whitchurch-Stouffville Food Bank.
Marion Wells, Executive Director of the Food Bank, Treasurer Jean Noble, and mayor Justin Altmann were in attendance to accept this year’s donation, as well as many truckloads of non-perishable food items.
“Every year we have more families coming to the Food Bank for assistance. Without the generosity of companies like Geranium Homes, as well as the individuals who contribute throughout the year, our shelves would be bare,” says Wells.
Over the last decade, the Food Bank has noticed a steady increase in the amount of families who rely on the Food Bank to survive. We’re happy to see that Geranium Homes is stepping up along with the rest of the community to assist in this matter.
To provide for the Food Bank, Geranium Homes reaches out to their Cardinal Point residents, as well as the trades and suppliers that work on their Stouffville community sites. SCS Consulting Group, James Hardie Building Products, and PACE Credit Union are just a few of the companies that participate with Geranium Homes on this annual initiative.
Over the last seven years, Geranium Homes and their partners have contributed nearly $46,000 for the Food Bank, and as Geranium’s Stouffville communities become more prominent, it will become easier each year to raise even more funds for the good cause.
Geranium Homes communities in Stouffville
There are currently three projects under way in Stouffville by Geranium Homes. Trails at Cardinal Point is a new phase featuring single family ravine homes and stacked condo townhomes that will be coming this fall. The 38’ and 42’ singles will be released this year and the stacked condo towns will launch spring 2016.
PACE on MAIN is Geranium’s boutique condo that offers convenient and luxurious living right on Main Street, where you’ll find the majority of Stouffville’s amenities. The condo has a wide range of suites, reaching up to 1,517 square feet, with prices starting in the low $300,000s. This is a pretty great option for empty nesters in Stouffville or homebuyers looking for a condo lifestyle outside of a busy downtown environment.
Last but not least, we have Bloomington Woods, a stunning enclave of 14 estate homes on 3/4-acre lots. Starting from just over $1.3 million, this collection of two-storey homes and bungalows (and bungalows with lofts) follows the success of two previous executive communities that Geranium Homes launched with great success (Forest Trail Estates and Copperstone).
