Geranium’s Team puts on a great homeowner event
Recently, Geranium Homes hosted its annual Community Barbecue for their Stouffville homeowners. More than 400 people congregated in the large central park in The Neighbourhoods of Cardinal Point community and enjoyed a delicious lunch, live music, children’s activities, and Reptilia and the Stouffville Fire Department also held demonstrations for the kids. “This annual event is a great way for everyone in the neighbourhood to come together, to enjoy a barbecue lunch and different activities within a few minutes’ walk of their home. For Geranium, it really defines the concept of building community, which we believe transcends the bricks and mortar of a house,” says Stephanie Lane, marketing and sales manager, Geranium Homes, in a recent release. This is the ninth year Geranium Homes has hosted this free event. It now serves as a kick-off point for Geranium’s annual food drive in support of the Whitchurch-Stouffville Food Bank. With help from Stouffville residents and partners and trades, Geranium has contributed around $50,000 to the Food Bank in total. As more families begin to rely on the Food Bank, it becomes more crucial every year that the community comes together to support them. As Stephanie Lane mentions, building a community is about more than bricks and mortar. You don’t have a community without people, so we’ve always found Geranium’s efforts to support the communities in which they build admirable.Vista Flats and Towns at Cardinal Point
Later this month, Geranium Homes will be launching Vista Flats and Towns at Cardinal Point, which is the final phase of the master-planned ravine community in Stouffville.Vista features a unique collection of one-level flats and two-storey townhomes atop an underground parking garage. When it comes to new homes in Stouffville, Geranium is constantly pushing the boundaries and coming up with new, innovative housing styles. The plans at Vista range from 894 to approximately 1,200 square feet, with prices starting from the low $400,000s. Given the success of all of the Cardinal Point phases, we won’t be surprised when Vista opens to a huge group of eager homebuyers.Stouffville has been a hot spot for new low-rise homes. As you probably have heard, the supply of new low-rise homes in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) has hit a record low. According to the Building Industry and Land Development Association (BILD), there were only 1,379 new low-rise homes available across the GTA as of the end of August 2016. Given the high demand for new homes in Stouffville and the fact that supply is super limited at the moment, Vista Flats and Towns will not only be a smart investment but also welcomed inventory. Geranium also has a boutique condo under construction on Main Street in Stouffville called PACE on Main. The condo is over 65% sold and puts you in the heart of Stouffville within walking distance of the majority of the neighbourhood’s amenities, including the GO Station. For more information about PACE on Main and to stay up to date on the upcoming Vista Flats and Towns opening, visit GeraniumHomes.com and register for both communities!
