FORM by Tridel is coming to Toronto’s Queen West neighbourhood!

Tridel already has a strong presence in Toronto’s Queen West neighbourhood thanks to their ambitious Alexandra Park revitalization. Well, we are excited to see that Tridel is continuing to develop Queen West with a new condo, simply called FORM.
FORM will rise at Queen and McCaul, just south of OCAD University. Given the location, the design fits in well, with Tridel describing the condo as a place “where art and architecture shape the imagination.” We really like how FORM will complement the blockiness of OCAD University’s unique design, while bringing its own distinct look to one of Toronto’s trendiest and most popular neighbourhoods.
Easily one of the longest, most vibrant strips in Toronto, Queen Street West from University Avenue all the way to Spadina, Bathurst, Ossington, Dufferin and beyond is frequented daily by the city’s most creative artists, tourists from all over the world, university and college students, young working professionals, and families.
Queen West is known for its fashion retailers, coffee shops, art galleries, restaurants, and vintage shops. There is a healthy mix of independent retailers and chains, with the latter becoming more prominent in FORM’s area. While there are still many independent retailers within walking distance of FORM, such as housewares shop/fashion boutique Lavish & Squalor and Kops Records, if you venture west of Spadina, you will discover even more. It only takes about five minutes to walk to Spadina from McCaul!
One of the reasons Queen Street is so popular is because of how well connected it is to other major districts of the city. Starting at the front doors of FORM, if you travel east for a few minutes, you’ll find yourself in the heart of the Financial District. Go north and you’ll find yourself on the OCAD University campus, and then the University of Toronto St. George campus. Walk a few minutes to the south and discover the Entertainment District where there are movie theatres, live theatres, as well as the Rogers Centre and Air Canada Centre.
Walkscore.com gives Queen and McCaul a perfect Walk Score of 100, labelling it a “Walker’s Paradise.” This means that all of your daily amenities can be accomplished on foot and you definitely don’t need a car if you’re living at FORM and working downtown Toronto. With two university campuses nearby, this is also a great opportunity for investors to generate rental income from students.
This intersection also has a Transit Score of 100 thanks to the 24-hour Queen Streetcar and the close proximity to the Yonge-University Subway line and Spadina Streetcar. Anywhere in Toronto is accessible thanks to these transit lines, and any part of the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and beyond can be reached because Union Station is nearby.
