Find out why this first-time buyer purchased at Fifth on the Park!

Toronto nurse and first-time homebuyer, Revellie Reyes, recently purchased a new condo unit at Fifth on the Park in Emerald City, ELAD CANADA’s master-planned North York condo community. Topping her list of must-haves was a convenient location, and she definitely found it at Sheppard and Don Mills.
“I hate traveling through rush hour by car,” explains Reyes. “From Fifth on the Park, I can take public transit, read a book or listen to music during my 10-minute commute. Plus, when I want to shop or eat out, I can just pop over to Fairview Mall on foot. It’s incredible.” The Don Mills subway station is only a few steps away, and Highway 404/Don Valley Parkway is easily accessible (in case you’re a driver!).
While she was renting in Scarborough, her friends were living it up in the first building of Emerald City. That’s how she heard about Fifth on the Park; her friends really enjoy the location, the building, and have high hopes for the community’s future.
“They love living there,” Reyes says. “And as soon as I visited the presentation centre, I knew I would too. I am a big fan of Douglas Coupland’s writing and artwork, and to me, having the public art installation by this famous Canadian as part of the community is amazing.”
Another community feature that we actually got to visit recently is the Parkway Forest Community Centre, which has a rooftop garden, a gym, a YMCA-run daycare, an outdoor patio and dining area, and a barbecue terrace. “I can’t believe I’ll have amenities right in my building, plus this facility only steps away,” Reyes says. “I love that an outdoor pool will be added to the Centre soon.”
Fifth on the Park will share its amenities with the fourth condo building, The Colours of Emerald City. The amenities include an indoor pool, a hot tub, his and hers change rooms and saunas, a fitness centre with a yoga studio, an arcade/games centre, a lounge and dining area with a fully equipped kitchen, an outdoor patio with a barbecue terrace, and a karaoke/theatre room that Reyes says she’s really looking forward to using.
Fifth on the Park will rise 24 storeys from a three-storey podium and will have retail on the ground floor. “It’s going to be convenient to have stores right there,” she says. “And I’m looking forward to the WiFi Lounge in the lobby. What a great place to hang out and meet other people in the condominium. All of these amenities are great for my investment as well.”
Reyes purchased a one-bedroom+den suite with a balcony. “I like that the den is located near the entry, and the open-concept main living area makes the most of the space,” she says. “It will be perfect for me and my partner. And from what I saw of the standard features and finishes in the presentation centre, I won’t have to upgrade much or at all.”
During our visit last month, we also got to pop into the new Decor Studio. We’re positive that Reyes is looking forward to her decor appointment, and we bet she’ll enjoy working with the decor consultants and using the interactive touchscreen program to select her finishes. Also, the sales staff at Emerald City have been super helpful, says Reyes. “They took the time to listen and answer my questions. I’m very happy with my purchase.”
