Fieldgate just released new 36’ detached homes at Whitby Meadows!

Tack on another win for Fieldgate Homes thanks to their successful opening last weekend at Whitby Meadows. 

Fieldgate released new 36’ detached homes starting from the low $800,000s, featuring four-bedroom layouts, ranging up to more than 3,100 square feet.

One of the new models, which Fieldgate shared on their blog on the day of the opening, is The Durham, which is just over 2,100 square feet with four bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, and a two-car garage. 

A few of the interior features and finishes include tray ceilings, walk-in closets, spa-inspired bathrooms, and convenient second floor laundry. We especially like the open-concept family room and kitchen, which is ideal for entertaining and spending more family time together. 

When December hits, builders really slow down with the new releases, and even November 24 is somewhat late in the fall season for a new release. But, the demand was there. Fieldgate understands the Durham market, and new, spacious 36’ detached homes were what the people wanted! 

We’re not sure how large the crowd was, but we heard there were a few families in attendance. This time of year is interesting because the crowds are smaller, but there seems to be a higher percentage of actual buyers. 

We’d be curious to see a study on the percentage of buyers in different seasons. We’ve been to spring and fall openings with hundreds of people, but only 20 sales. And we’ve also been to winter openings with 30 people and five sales. 

It seems like those who visit sales centres in the off-season are sometimes more serious than the springtime browser. There are indeed benefits of buying a new home in the winter because there are frequently special offers from builders, smaller crowds, and less of a sense of urgency.
