Young People Need Fairground Lofts
We sat down with Gary Bensky of Wycliffe Homes last week, and in regards to
Fairground Lofts, he said that they are “building entry priced projects for single young people in Woodbridge.” The reason that Wycliffe is doing this is because they have noticed that Woodbridge has grown, and families have third generation members that are ready to move into their first home.
Wycliffe Homes just finished a high-end, luxury community in Kleinburg, and now, everyone in Woodbridge is moving there to upgrade. Young people can’t afford Kleinburg, and they definitely can’t afford Woodbridge resale. That is why Wycliffe Homes’ Fairground Lofts is designed for the young - they need a beautiful place to live, and it has to be affordable.
Woodbridge is truly developing, and Bensky put it best when he said, “This whole ‘generation’ thing is about kids coming back to Woodbridge – they went to high school in Woodbridge – and now they’re coming back to be with their families.”
The Homes of Fairground Lofts
Fairground Lofts consists of 65 loft style stacked townhomes, with two-bedroom and two-bedroom+den floorplans, available in sizes ranging from 676 to 1,349 square feet, and three-bedroom plans from 1,132 to 1,348 square feet.
Some of the luxurious interior features and finishes include 9’ ceilings, interior brick, stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, Paris Gallery European style custom designed cabinetry, and imported Villeroy & Boch china basin and elongated one-piece toilets in the elegant bathrooms.
There are also two heritage homes on the
Fairground Lofts site. Wycliffe moved them from their original spots, and they now serve as the gateway to Fairground Lofts. The heritage homes will be fully restored, and they have already sold!

We also asked Gary Bensky about the
Fairground Lofts’ neighbourhood, and he said, “This is downtown Woodbridge. There is some beautiful open space, some mid-rise buildings are going up, the Humber River runs through it, it’s what people are looking for.”
The site of Fairground Lofts is surrounded by an array of amenities and conveniences, including the very popular Market Lane Shopping Centre, golf courses, parks, and great restaurants. Overall, Woodbridge has a tranquil environment, with tree-lined streets, and friendly neighbours. It’s a place where family values preside, and you always feel at home.
