The Event of the Year is just Days Away!
By Lucas on Dec 05, 2012
Sunderland is a small village located in the Township of Brock, one hour from Toronto, and is home to art galleries, fine cafes, restaurants, and lovely early Ontario architecture.
The village is one of those quiet, smaller communities where everyone knows your name! Homebuilder, Fairgate Homes, loves the area and the response their new community, Fairfield Village, has received, so they decided to do a little something extra for the community, as a simple way of giving thanks.
Fairgate Homes is inviting everyone out to its Fairfield Village Presentation Centre in Sunderland this Saturday, December 8th to get themselves a free turkey! Guests will also be treated to hot chocolate, coffee, and sweets, provided by Katie’s Coffeehouse, a local, independently owned café and catering business. The turkeys have been supplied by a local grocer, Flindall’s Freshmart.
In addition to the turkeys, some local politicians will be present to help celebrate. Mayor Terry Clayton will oversee the proceedings, and Ward Councillor Ted Smith will also make an appearance! After the event is complete, Sunderland will host its popular Santa Claus Parade on River St.
The event is scheduled to start at 1pm sharp at the Fairfield Village Presentation Centre, located at 11 Brethour St., in the heart of Sunderland. We encourage all our readers to head out to Sunderland this Saturday to see what Fairfield Village has to offer, and to take in the Sunderland Santa Claus Parade. Oh, and don’t forget about the turkey!
