EQ Awards nominations deadline fast approaching!

Do you know a home builder, supplier, or any other new home industry leader that deserves recognition for their commitment to energy efficiency? Then you should nominate them for the EQ Awards!
EnerQuality recently changed the date of their annual EQ Awards Gala and Dinner from February 21, 2019 to February 28, 2019. In past years, the Awards coincided with the Housing Innovation Forum. This year, the Forum is on hiatus, but the awards are still happening! If you want to nominate someone for an EQ Award, you must do so before January 21, 2019.
There are a few new awards this year, including Best Green Marketing Campaign, Product Innovation Award, Student Innovation Award, and People’s Choice. All of these awards are pretty self explanatory and all relate to energy efficiency. For Best Green Marketing Campaign, there are separate awards for Print and Digital. The voting for People’s Choice will open February 1, 2019.
A few of the other prestigious awards include Net Zero, Energy Advisor, and EnerQuality’s ENERGY STAR for New Homes awards for small, medium, and large volume builders.
We like to highlight the EQ Awards because it’s one of the greatest recognitions of energy efficiency excellence in Ontario’s new home building industry. As technology advances and Ontario’s population continues to grow, energy efficiency is a key aspect of building communities.
It’s not just about limiting our impact on the environment and saving money - energy efficient homes are more comfortable for residents, have improved air quality, and thereby improve the living experience, which of course affects general happiness.
The builders and individuals in the industry who lead the way in energy efficiency are the ones who will prove to be the most successful in the long term. Prioritizing energy efficiency and sustainability, and exploring product and technology innovations are signs of a builder with a bright vision of the future. They are the ones building homes with your comfort and health in mind.
Past EQ Awards winners include Reid’s Heritage Homes, Minto, Mattamy Homes, and many other recognizable names in the industry.
