Skyline is taking vacation-oriented living to a new level at the new Horseshoe Resort & Village in Barrie. This iconic resort will soon be transformed into a master-planned year-round resort village with ski in/ski out opportunities.
The plan also calls for whole-ownership condominium residences, beginning with Copeland House. The first phase includes 56 thoughtfully design and well-appointed suites beginning in price from just $199,900. Owners have the option to place their suites into Horseshoe’s rental program and receive rental revenue when they are not in residence. The Design Agency is appointing the interior finishes, and is creating furniture packages for purchasers to personalize their space. They have created a series of stunning suite renderings that will help buyers envision their lives in these inviting designs.
According to Matt Davis of the Design Agency, “We selected a cross-section of the suites to showcase. Most features and finishes are standard, and we tailored the décor and furnishing selections to exemplify the versatility of the designs.” The main living area of The Copeland, a two-bedroom corner suite, sleeps up to eight comfortably. It is geared to families, with cosy, warm hues framing the winter views from the windows. “We picked up on natural components in the mantel and floor finish,” Davis says. “The linen lamp and twig floor lamp achieve a nice balance between indoors and outdoors. We think of this suite as warm country eclectic – some modern pieces mingled with classic items such as the bookshelf and executive chair.”
Another interior rendering of the living area is adult contemporary in style. “This suite is aimed at grown-up entertaining. The furnishings are stylized, and there is plenty of seating to accommodate a large group of people for an après-ski party or relaxing after a game of golf. The dining area is perfect for a fondue party. And of course, the French oak wall wine rack offers nice texture, even without the bottles.”
The renderings of The Alpine (which sleeps up to six), shows a white kitchen that is open and summery. “This is designed with an upscale family cottage in mind, with a comfortable seating area and smart dining niche. We combined contemporary elements with traditional items such as the country traditional door styles with a relief panel.”
The rendering of The Greens, which can sleep up to four people, also exudes character. “The white kitchen and backsplash keep everything light and comfortable. Traditional touches include the sofa with stud detailing and the coffee table that resembles a trunk. We added the optional island to create a transition between the kitchen and main living space.”
A neutral palette combined with what Davis calls “nearly monolithic floor tiles” create a striking look in the bathroom rendering. “The shower has a slim-line threshold, and the contemporary vanity is perfect for towels on display and stored below.”
The Design Agency also rendered a typical bedroom. “This retreat is styled on a summer golf theme and is all about relaxing. The tufted headboard, soft lighting and plaster relief that suggests nature create an organic ambience. The idea behind all the renderings is to represent the multi-seasonal appeal of these suites.”
Located just outside of Toronto, Horseshoe Resort boasts 25 alpine ski and snowboard runs, as well as 52 other seasonal activities and amenities including two championship golf courses and Canada’s only OGO ball park. Copeland House buyers receive a Horseshoe VIP Card offering discounts that can be used immediately.
