Dominic Tompa Talks NY2 Condos

Last week, we had the opportunity to head down to NY2 Condos to check out the progress that Daniels has made. We met with Dominic Tompa, the broker of record at City Life Realty, about the value that Daniels is offering at NY2, and how important projects like these are for our city.

"We really are addressing what we have found to be the biggest challenge for people - it’s the affordability, it’s getting the down payment. When you sit down and talk to people, everyone has the income to afford a mortgage, but it’s the down payment that people struggle with. No matter how much money you make, saving is the hardest part - that’s why what we do at NY1 and now NY2 is so important and so popular."

For those who missed it, NY2 is the sequel to the very popular NY Place in North York. With this project, Daniels is making it possible for people to easily fulfill the dream of homeownership. While shooting photos, we picked Dominic's brain on the rent-to-own process, and the rent-to-own seminars that Daniels is hosting.

"We'll be starting them in early April. People will learn right off the bat what the program is like and what they need to qualify. It’s also a learning opportunity; a lot of the people that come to us are coming from a rental situation, they want to know about ownership, but are naive to the process. We help them with all aspects of the process.”

 

Domenic continued: "The best part of the program, in my opinion, is that the occupancy date is a year away from when we start sales - which means that people can give a small deposit each month that will accumulate into their down payment. Once they take occupancy, the rent will go towards the down payment as well. Once the first year us up, they have paid the down payment. So someone with no savings can sign up for the program today and pay off the down payment in an affordable way."

NY2 is an intimately designed building that boasts all the features and finishes that one would expect from a downtown condominium. Residents will have access to the Wi-Fi cafe lounge, a state-of-the-art gym, a rooftop patio, and much more! Also, there’s about 5,000 square feet of retail going in on the ground floor.
