Designer pumpkins on display for a good cause!

In the spirit of Halloween, Quadrangle Architects, Janet Rosenberg, and II BY IV Design teamed up with Sheridan Nurseries on a pumpkin design exhibit to raise money for Children’s Wish Foundation.
Each firm designed a pumpkin, and of course, each one demonstrates out-of-the-box thinking and technical skills.
“Our pumpkin draws on the natural beauty of the ravine system, the exquisite homes and gardens of the neighbourhood and the style and elegance of the area,” explains Janet Rosenberg. “Birds, flowers, leaves and berries decorate a stylized wire mesh pumpkin which surrounds a real pumpkin with a glossy black finish. Our traditional urn was transformed into a pedestal as a creative way to display this seasonal and sculptural installation.”
Out of the three, the pumpkin by Janet Rosenberg stands out the most, but the other two are impressive as well!
“Our design is a modern take on the classic jack-o-lantern,” says Quadrangle. “We felt our interpretation embodied the contemporary Lawrence Park Development within the established Toronto neighbourhood.”
The vignettes are on display across the street from Sheridan Nurseries at Yonge and Strathgowan until November 1st.
We highly recommend you check out these pumpkins in person, especially since Devron Developments is donating $50 for every photo of the pumpkins posted to social media with the hashtag #NaturallyLP.
So go out right now and get some pumpkin carving inspiration and help contribute to a great cause!
