Cresford set to Introduce Casa III
By Lucas on Mar 18, 2013
We have spent a lot of time over the past few months discussing the importance of side streets when it comes to intensification. Charles St. East and West is a prime example of the direction that condo developments need to go in order to support our growing population. One developer that has taken a keen interest in Charles St. is Cresford Developments. They recently started work on Phase Two of the Casa project at 42 Charles St. East.
Not one to rest on their laurels, Cresford has entered an agreement to purchase 50 Charles St. East for the third phase of Casa. Not much is known about the project at this time, however it’s been speculated that Cresford is looking to build a 50+ storey condo. 50 Charles St. East, the site of a post office deemed expendable by the Provincial government, was originally put on the market in April of 2012.
We’re excited to see what Cresford has in store for us at Casa III. With the award-winning firm, architectsAlliance, behind Casa and Casa II, it’s no stretch to expect them to be involved with Casa III.
It’s really amazing to sit back and look at the long term vision for Charles St. It was once a quiet side street in the city, but now it is the location for some of Toronto’s most exciting condo developments.
Stay tuned to NewInHomes.com, we’ll be keeping an eye out for Casa III renderings!
