On Tuesday June 11, we headed out to King and John to check out the construction progress at The Mercer, Graywood Developments and Beaverhall Homes’ downtown condo development.

Construction progress at The Mercer

The last time we checked out The Mercer, the sales centre was still standing and the site was a field of dirt. Now, the site is a hub of activity; the hole is dug and two cranes are swinging away.

We’re confident that, weather permitting, The Mercer will be hitting grade very soon! As you can see by the photos, the construction crew is only a few levels away. Graywood and Beaverhall have a scheduled completion date for 2015.

The views from The Mercer

We were fortunate enough to gain access to the rooftop terrace next to the site of The Mercer, so along with some great shots of the construction progress, we also got a few of the potential views.

This rooftop is 21 storeys up and right next to The Mercer, so the photos are a pretty fair representation of some of the views that will be offered at The Mercer at a comparable height. For being situated in the heart of downtown, residents at The Mercer will have some pretty amazing views. With time, these views will only improve with the amount of high-rises currently under construction. The Mercer offers the luxury of watching the city flourish from your living room couch!

Once complete, The Mercer will stand 33 storeys high and feature 412 condo suites, which will range in size from 363 to 1,133 square feet.
