Construction Update: Fashion House by Freed Developments
By Lucas on Oct 09, 2012
It’s been some time since we headed west along King Street to check out Fashion House by Freed Developments. Last time we were there, Fashion House wasn’t even off the ground yet, but now it looks like it’s almost half-way up.
When complete, Fashion House will reach 12 storeys, wrapping around a restored silverplate historic building, with splashes of lipstick red colouring, and a stunning sky-park with a pool.
The amount of historic buildings on this patch of King St. West is going to make Fashion House really stand out - in the best possible way. Sometimes modern-contemporary designs can destroy an area with mostly brick buildings, but Freed has done an amazing job ensuring that Fashion House is integrated perfectly into the streetscape, blending harmoniously with the vibe of old Toronto.
There are 334 units at Fashion House, 90% of which are sold, ranging from 464 to 1,566 square feet. Some of the stylish features and finishes include 9’ and 10’ ceilings, European designed contemporary kitchens with stainless steel appliances, exposed concrete ceilings and columns, stone countertops, pre-finished engineered hardwood flooring, and floor-to-ceiling windows.
Located at 556 King St. West in Toronto’s incredibly trendy Fashion District, Fashion House is surrounded by independent boutiques, fantastic restaurants and cafes, and other beautiful architecture. Also, the King Street streetcar is right outside your front door, so the rest of Toronto is yours to explore.
We are really enjoying watching Fashion House take shape, and what we are really waiting for is that coloured glass cladding to start climbing its way up the building - it’s going to be pretty cool.
Stylish boutique living is becoming very popular in Toronto, so check out Fashion House by Freed Developments right now.
