Construction Tour: Five Condos on St. Joseph Street
By Lucas on Oct 23, 2012
Last week, the team at the Toronto Star’s NewInHomes.com headed out to the corner of Yonge Street and St. Joseph Street to check out the progress at MOD Developments and Graywood’s Five Condos site. When we were here last, we met with Stephen Price and he explained how far they’ve come. This time, we got a bird’s-eye view of the site, thanks to Carlo Cazzin and Tony Whitney, the site’s Sr. Project Manager and Sr. Project Superintendent.
The site has changed a lot since our last visit: a crane has appeared, the concrete is being poured, and the parking structure is starting to take shape. Because of the heritage aspects on the site, Carlo cautioned us that we won’t see the normal progress once they hit the ground floor.
“We’ll probably hit the ground floor by February. Once we hit the ground floor, it will probably take a month per floor because of the heritage that we are incorporating. In the podium area, we will have over 30 suites per floor. Once we get to the sixth floor, then you will see things move quicker.”
Located just off of Yonge Street between Bloor and Queen, Five Condominiums is right in the middle of everything that is urban in Toronto. From small boutiques to many top eateries, there is something for everyone. With the subway only a block away, you’re only minutes from the rest of downtown.
Graywood Developments Ltd. shares MOD Developments’ vision of producing excellent homes and service. They have an expansive portfolio of projects in the Greater Toronto Area, including Number One York Quay, Landmark of Thornhill, and Europa.
The Five Condos sales centre is open Monday to Thursday from noon to 6pm, and Saturday and Sunday from noon to 5pm. For more information, call 416-928-0555, or visit www.fivecondos.com.
