Construction is officially underway at The Mack in Vaughan!

It was probably the most rain the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) has seen in a single day all year, but Marlin Spring and the Mayor of Vaughan, Maurizio Bevilacqua, saw it as a blessing. Newinhomes.com attended the official groundbreaking celebration of The Mack, Vaughan’s latest and most exciting new townhome community.
Marlin Spring’s executive team, consisting of CEO Benjamin Bakst, COO Zev Mandelbaum, and CFO Elliot Kazarnovsky were in attendance, as well as Ward 3 Councillor Rosanna Defrancesca, many of the brokers, partners, and designers.
“Today is a celebration of accomplishment for us,” announced Bakst. “I look around now at everyone that’s here and people will see there are planners in the room, the sales team, the city staff, the servicing consultants and trades. I look around and I don’t see any of that. What I see is a great group of friends and without all of you - all of your input and dedication that you put into this project - we wouldn’t be where we are today.”
“Just a year ago, this project was a dream,” Bakst added. “One of the things that we’re most proud of today is the partners that we solidified, and they’re more than partners; every decision we’ve made has been made as a group.”

The 10-acre site just south of Major Mackenzie Drive West, next to Highway 400, is zoned for 200 townhomes. The neighbourhood is well established and is peppered with shops, restaurants, banks, coffee shops and grocery stores. The GO Station is basically next door and the easy access to Highway 400 puts you about 30 minutes from downtown Toronto.
“We here in the City of Vaughan are very blessed; look we even ordered blessings for you,” said Bevilacqua, motioning to the heavily falling rain. “We’re building a phenomenal city and we’re very happy that you’re (Marlin Spring) now part of the Vaughan family.”
The available townhomes at The Mack are all three-bedrooms, some with the option of a fourth bedroom. Marlin Spring has seen a wide variety of purchasers at The Mack, including young couples, move-up buyers, and many families, with floor plans ranging to more than 2,300 square feet.

“This is one of the best days I’ve had since I became a councillor,” said Defrancesca. “I thank you (Marlin Spring) for taking this property and actually delivering on what was approved here. I’m proud to represent a community that is passionate and caring and I think that I’m really privileged to work with such a great group of people.”
Working with Kelly Cray of U31, The Mack features an impressive selection of interior features and finishes, such as contemporary light fixtures, high quality flooring, stone walls and soaker tubs in the ensuites, and large windows that allow an abundance of natural lighting so your living space is bright and airy throughout the day.
“On behalf of my partners and myself, I have to say a big thank you to everybody that took part in this project,” said Mandelbaum. “It was not just an astounding project in terms of its interior design and exterior architecture, but it was also a lot of fun.”
