Coming Soon: Mimico on the Go
By Lucas on Apr 02, 2013
As the Greater Toronto Area continues to grow, the integration of transit options and new communities becomes more and more important. Anyone who has attempted the commute from Milton or Whitby to downtown Toronto knows that drives that were once 30 to 40 minutes long are quickly stretching over an hour.
Higher density living in Mimico
The predominantly low-rise area around Royal York Blvd. and Evans Ave. hasn’t seen much in the way of new home developments recently. There’s been a few new commercial buildings, but that’s about it. Well, it looks like the area is in for a change, with developer Stanton Renaissance looking to develop a brand new high-rise.
Mimico on the Go
Stanton Renaissance is planning a new 25-storey condominium, dubbed “Mimico on the Go.” At this point, not too much is known about the project, but we expect that there will be a mix of residential and commercial components, partnered with some clean contemporary architecture.
Mimico on the Go will be located right beside the Mimico Go Station - hence the name - which gives owners quick access to the downtown core, or anywhere else they wish to take the train. And, for those who are willing to brave the Gardiner Expressway, the highway is just a few minutes away.
Transit options and condos
As we stated above, the integration of reliable transit options and new communities is a must. We have established transit lines crisscrossing over the GTA, and you should expect most new communities, especially condos, to pop up along them. Highways, streetcars, subways, trains, buses - these are the things that will be guiding new development in the GTA.
We look forward to seeing Mimico on the Go rise. Stay tuned, we’ll be releasing more information as it becomes available.
