Chaz.Yorkville Tops Off in Toronto!

After two years of construction, developer 45 Charles, Project Manager Edenshaw Homes, and the PCL Constructors crew celebrated topping off at Chaz.Yorkville in Toronto.
The last time we visited the Chaz site was back in August when the crew completed the cantilevered portion of the Chaz Club up on the 36th and 37th floors. The completion of this part of the building was considered a milestone because of how crucial this design feature is to distinguishing Chaz from the rest of the condos going up in the area. This time we headed up to the 47th storey for the topping off celebration! We also had the opportunity to get the first peek of the new 1,200 square foot model suite.

“This is a family sized unit,” McComb said about the new model. “The city needs more family oriented developments, and at Chaz, we have facilitated well over 25 three-bedroom homes, and many two-beds plus dens. A number of the homes that have sold to date are more economy sized, so what we have remaining for the buyers today are the homes that are more family oriented.”
Now that Chaz has topped off, occupancy will be taking place in just over three months! Work on the interior is well underway with drywall being installed, as well as major features and finishes.
The suites at Chaz are divided into two collections; the Cumberland Collection and Bellair Collection. A few of the notable interior features and finishes in the Cumberland Collection include 9’ ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows, custom designed kitchen cabinetry by Cecconi Simone, Corian countertops, durable high performance wide-plank laminate flooring, custom designed vanities, and quality porcelain tile. The Bellair Collection offers similar features and finishes, with the addition of granite countertops and wide-plank engineered wood flooring.
The suite plans range from studios to two-bedroom+dens and span from 378 to 1,253 square feet. Now that the beautiful model suite is open, you will have to act quickly in order to get in on the few remaining suites. 45 Charles and Edenshaw Homes are now offering special incentives, including purchasing with only a 5% deposit and a two-year lease-back program. Prices for the available suites start in the $300,000s and reach up to more than $1.5 million.
Located at 45 Charles East, near Yonge Street, just south of Bloor, Chaz is steps from the Yonge and Bloor subway lines, all the boutique shops, galleries, and fine cuisine of Yorkville, and even the Ryerson and University of Toronto campuses are nearby.
“You’re literally two streets away from the new Saks Fifth Avenue,” McComb explained. “This is the location to be. You all know the location, you’ve all seen the product and how the area’s changing, and it’s important to mount that on top of the fact that Charles Street is going through a multi-million dollar refurbishing. There will be new sidewalks, new trees planted, there will be a whole new streetscape. We’re proud at Chaz to say we’ve donated several million dollars to the City to contribute to this improvement in the neighbourhood.”
