Chaz Revs It Up For Charity

When 45 Charles Ltd. and Edenshaw Homes Limited, the developers of CHAZ on Charles, a sophisticated new condominium in the Yonge-Bloor neighbourhood, sponsored McLeod Dixon Micheal Tamblyn’s rare Porsche GT3RS at the third annual “Rally for Kids with Cancer Scavenger Cup” held in Toronto in September, they never expected the celebrity navigator to be Hollywood great, Eric Roberts.

The exciting event, which also takes place in Chicago, Miami and Los Angeles, features celebrities and exotic cars in an event filled race around the city. This year, participants raised approximately $2.5 million, which will be used toward the construction of the new SickKids Research & Learning Tower and support cancer research at SickKids.

The cancer patients who attended had fun interacting with celebrities and taking part in special activities. “We were thrilled to be part of it all,” said Jason Fane, owner of 45 Charles Ltd. “The event was a lot of fun for everyone involved, and we are proud to support this wonderful cause.”

CHAZ is steps from the Yonge and Bloor subway lines, the shops of Yorkville, and the pubs and restaurants on Yonge. The CHAZ design team includes Page + Steele/IBI Group Architects for the exterior, Land Art for the landscaping, and Cecconi Simone Inc. for the interiors. The innovative design for this 39-storey tower allows for eight corner suites on each floor. On the 36th and 37th floors, the two-storey CHAZ CLUB will offer panoramic views, a VIP room with dining facilities for over 20; the two-storey Grand room with an adjacent outdoor terrace; a fitness room, spinning area and yoga/Pilates room; his and hers saunas; a relax room; computer gamers arena; Hollywood style 3D screening theater; a separate sports theater and two guest suites.

The luxurious and value-packed studios, one-bedroom, one-bedroom + den, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom suites are priced from the mid-$200,000s to over $1,500,000.
