Casablanca Grand Opening Blows Brampton Away
By Jen Taylor on Oct 27, 2014
The city of Brampton has experienced unprecedented growth as families look for communities that strike a balance between the convenience of the city and the breathing room offered by the suburbs. Fortunately, for homebuyers looking to make this move, Landmart Homes recently celebrated the Grand Opening of their new Brampton Community - Casablanca.
Located on the edge of Brampton, the Casablanca community gives families access to the shopping, restaurants, schools, and amenities of the city with the benefits of the close proximity to the countryside. In the past, Landmart’s award-winning Meadowlands development sold out in just one day, and last week’s Grand Opening event in Brampton saw similar levels of interest.

Landmart focuses on the details
All of Casablanca’s luxury homes feature quality exterior mouldings and finishes, oak stairs, granite countertops and 9’ to 10’ ceilings. Each home is outfitted with Energy Star Certified vinyl clad casement windows and 8’ exterior front doors with stained fibreglass. Landmart’s architects and designers have carefully attended to every detail, outfitting the homes with 3” colonial trims, French doors to the library/office/den space, and raised tray ceilings in the master bedrooms. Homebuyers will have the choice between oak or maple cabinetry, allowing them to customize the kitchen to their tastes. Those that would like to further personalize their new home will also have the opportunity to take advantage of a Bonus Package, which allows for $10,000 in free upgrades at the Landmart Decor Boutique.
Landmart is offering two lot collections so that families can find a home that suits their size and needs. Casablanca’s 40’ home collection features eight different models with four- and five-bedroom plans, while those interested in 50’ to 70’ lots can choose between 11 models that also feature four- and five-bedroom layouts.
Building a community in Brampton
Brampton is one of Ontario’s fastest growing communities and the Casablanca development is situated in a neighbourhood designed for future growth. The site plan outlines a proposed school site and park, as well as future residential development. Families looking to plant roots in the community will appreciate the proximity to a number of excellent schools including Castlemore Public School, the Holy Spirit Catholic Elementary School, and Saint Patrick School.
Spending time with the family is both easy and fun in Brampton, which is home to a number of family-friendly attractions. In the summer, families can cool off at Wild Water Kingdom or spend an afternoon swimming and picnicking at Brampton’s outdoor pool in Eldorado Park. The Heart Lake Conservation Area is also a great spot for hiking and swimming, and recently opened a Treetop Trekking course! Families can enjoy the cottage-vibe without the travel or the cost at Professor’s Lake. This 65-acre lake and recreation centre includes a beach, water slide, volleyball courts, and a boathouse where paddleboats, canoes, and kayaks can be rented.
Brampton is well-known as the home of many multicultural enclaves, which has resulted in the establishment of many excellent restaurants in the city. In fact, the Globe and Mail recently featured Brampton heavily in an article outlining the best places to eat just west of Toronto. Stop into Kwality Sweets and Restaurant for Punjabi-style cooking, enjoy a hearty Italian meal at Osso Bucco, pick up some takeout from family-owned and operated Mimi’s Fish and Chips, or grab dessert at the Polka Dot Cow Cafe. Cooking enthusiasts will also appreciate the Brampton Farmer’s Market where residents can find fresh produce every Saturday from over 90 vendors.
Rich in history and host to multiple community events, downtown Brampton functions as the heartbeat of the larger Brampton community. Here, the city hosts a number of community events including Rib ‘n’ Roll, the Art of Jazz Festival, Classic Cars and Legendary Stars, Shakespeare in the Park, the Flower City Parade, the Santa Claus Parade, and Motorcycle Mondays.
Brampton also has a thriving arts culture and has invested greatly in promoting the city’s artistic talent. The historic Rose Theatre has become Brampton’s hub for music and performing arts, while aspiring visual artists can take an art class at The Beaux Arts, or browse the collection at the Peel Art Gallery, Museum and Archives. Residents can also shop in downtown Brampton’s various boutiques or visit the newly renovated Bramalea City Centre.
Getting to Brampton’s restaurants, amenities, and parks is now made easier by the new ZUM rapid transit system, which currently connects residents to downtown Brampton, the York University Terminal, and the Brampton Gateway Terminal to Humber College. Brampton is also connected to several of the major highways including the 401 and 407.
