Brampton, Oakville, and East Gwillimbury have the most new low-rise sales

As of the end of August 2015, the top three cities with the most new low-rise sales is Brampton, Oakville, and Mt. Albert (East Gwillimbury), according to Trimart Research Corporation. Brampton is leading with an incredible 4,910 sales, while Oakville trails in second with 1,035 and Mt. Albert is close behind with 1,003. The summer has been plagued by record low inventory levels for new low-rise homes, but Trimart believes that October will be one of the busiest months of the year with many openings planned across the region.
Listed below are a few notable low-rise sites of the last month:
Mount Pleasant North - via Mattamy Homes
Since Brampton has so many sales, it’s not surprising to see Mattamy Homes’ Mount Pleasant North/Village community in the top position on this week’s Hot Spots report. The community features 30’, 38’, and 45’ detached homes ranging from 1,434 to 3,411 square feet, with prices starting at $502,990. There will also be a new release of townhomes coming soon!
Trafalgar Landing - via Great Gulf
Coming in second with 16 sales last month is Great Gulf’s Trafalgar Landing community in Oakville. This community features 20’ townhomes ranging from 1,970 to 2,215 square feet with prices starting at $604,990. Many homebuyers who want a luxurious home, but don’t need the space of a larger detached home will turn to a high-end townhome community where they can get luxury finishes for a more affordable price.
Park Ridge - via Tribute
If you do happen to be a family looking for a detached home with more space, then Park Ridge by Tribute Communities is a great option! This Oshawa community had 14 sales last month and features a collection of detached homes on 36’, 40’, and 50’ lots. The homes range from 1,863 to 3,479 square feet with prices starting at just $488,990.
Willow Glen - via Brookfield Homes
Taking the fourth spot with 11 sales last month is Willow Glen by Brookfield Residential. This Tottenham community features townhomes, as well as 30’, 36’, 43’, and 50’ detached homes, ranging from 1,540 to 3,630 square feet. Prices are starting from $364,990.
Upper West Side - via Aspen Ridge Homes
The final position on the Trimart Hot Spots list is taken by Aspen Ridge Homes’ luxury Thornhill community, Upper West Village. This high-end community features 41’ and 50’ detached homes ranging from 2,886 to 4,913 square feet with prices starting at over $1.5 million and ranging to over $1.8 million!
