Brampton is Absolutely Dominating the New Low-Rise Market

The latest report by Trimart Research Corporation highlights the top five cities with the most new low-rise sales in the Total Market Area (TMA). As expected, Brampton is in the lead by a significant margin with 2,520 sales so far this year. Milton is in second with 800 sales, and Mt. Albert (including the East Gwillimbury area) has 549 sales. Fourth place is held by Aurora with 436 sales and Oakville has 414. We will surely see Aurora jump up a spot after the highly successful Aurora Trails opening, and Oakville will also see an increase in sales since it was just rated as the 6th best place to live in Canada by MoneySense Magazine.
Listed below are a few notable low-rise sites of the last month:
Placing first on this week’s Trimart Hot Spots list is Vales of the Humber by Starlane Home Corporation (image featured above). Located in Brampton, Starlane recently had 53 sales at the community, which is comprised of large detached homes on 47’, 65’, and 75’ lots. The homes range from 2,670 to 5,940 square feet and prices start at $710,900 and reach just over a $1 million.
St. John's Forest - via Mattamy Homes
Coming in a close second with 52 sales is St, John’s Forest, an Aurora community by Mattamy Homes. St. John’s Forest is a large community and is making a big impact on the quickly growing town. The community features 30’, 36’, 45’, and 50’ detached homes, ranging from 1,727 to 4,242 square feet. Prices start at $729,990 and prices for the two largest lot sizes will be announced when the new release is launched (which will be soon!).
Oakvillage - via Minto
Coming in third is a very successful Oakville community by Minto that goes by the name Oakvillage. This community features back-to-back townhomes and urban townhomes ranging from 1,194 to 2,404 square feet, and there were 35 sales recently. Prices start at $434,990. This is one of those Oakville communities that will continue to add onto Oakville’s total sales number throughout the year.
Lotus Pointe - via Greenpark
With 31 sales, the fourth spot is taken by Greenpark’s Lotus Pointe community in Caledon. After a recent event celebrating the start of construction, Greenpark announced that they are 90% sold at Lotus Pointe. There are a few detached singles remaining on 41’ and 43’ lots, with prices starting in the upper $600,000s
Aurora Views - via Treasure Hill Homes
The final position on Trimart’s weekly Hot Spots report is taken by Aurora Views, a luxury townhome community by Treasure Hill Homes. These homes range from 2,030 to 2,331 square feet and are priced from $689,900. The current phase is sold out! Stay tuned for the next one!
