Biyu Condos Offers Premium Amenities IN and AROUND Emerald City!
By Lucas on Dec 10, 2014
We recently received some new renderings of the amenity spaces that will be featured at The Colours of Emerald City, the latest phase of North York’s signature master-planned community by ELAD Canada, so we decided it would be a good idea to fill you in on what the new phase has to offer!
The first building of the Colours of Emerald City is called Biyu Condos. It is a boutique 13-storey condo designed by WZMH Architects. There will be three buildings at the Colours of Emerald City, and Biyu will share its amenity spaces with the second building.
All of the interior spaces have been designed by Toronto-based firm II BY IV DESIGN. This award-winning design firm has been active for more than two decades and has become known in the industry for their unique, contemporary style.

The fitness centre at Biyu will feature state-of-the-art cardio equipment as well as weights, so whether you’re training for a marathon or building muscle, you won’t even have to leave the building to fit in your routine. When it comes to amenity spaces, we recently discovered that the majority of condo buyers want a fitness facility of some sort because it allows them to cut the cost of a gym membership from their monthly budget, it saves them travel time, and they are more likely to stay true to their schedule because of the convenience of having it all just an elevator ride away.
There is also an indoor swimming pool that is long enough to swim lengths, and there’s a whirlpool and sauna to relax in afterward. The swimming pool area opens up to a spacious outdoor terrace that has barbecue stations, tables for alfresco dining, and a cozy lounge area. The terrace is also connected to the party room, which features a dining space, a lounge area, a games area, and a screening room to watch your favourite movies with friends and neighbours.
Life in the heart of North York
Located at Don Mills and Sheppard, Emerald City is a landmark community, and as more condo towers begin to rise, it will only become more prominent. The neighbourhood already has many amazing amenities, but we’re positive that more shops and services will move into the area as more people begin moving into the Emerald City community over the next few years.
One amenity that is new to the neighbourhood is the Parkway Forest Community Centre. When it is complete, it will feature an outdoor pool, a gym and yoga studio, an aerobics and dance studio, a YMCA-run daycare, and a beautiful rooftop garden and green roof.

Directly across the street from Emerald City is Fairview Mall, which offers over 170 stores for your browsing pleasure. The best part about living near a large mall is that all the essentials are located in one building, and it’s also a great place to spend an afternoon during the cold winter months!
With the new community centre and Fairview Mall right next to Emerald City, it seems like there’s no reason to ever leave the area, but if you must, the subway is literally steps away, and the Don Valley Parkway, 404, and 401 are easily accessible. This means that by subway or car, north, east, south, and west travel is a cinch!
