Backstage Condos stay connected to online friends

Cityzen Development Group together with partners CastlePoint Realty and Fernbrook Homes are debuting a new way to sell condos where anyone can be an agent. And it is all happening online.
After their successful "Name Our Condo" promotion which resulted in their new condominium project on The Esplanade being named "Backstage," the builders wanted to continue their relationship with followers online. That's why they've introduced the Virtual Broker program, which rewards people for referring their friends and contacts to register on the Backstage website with great prizes. The prizes include two movie passes for 10 referrals, a $50 iTunes gift card for 25 referrals, a $500 Eaton's Centre Gift Card for 55 referrals and and iPad for 75 referrals. If any one of the referrals actually purchases a suite at Backstage, the person referring will receive $2,500 cash. For some, that may also help in the down payment of their own condominium suite.
"We were amazed by the incredible participation in the Name Our Condo contest," says Sam Crignano, partner in Cityzen Development. "Over 3,000 people submitted a name and in excess of 100,000 unique visitors from 140 countries came to the web site to vote on a name or just watch the progress of the names as they received votes throughout the six week campaign. We wanted to maintain contact with those supporters and give them another opportunity to be part of our marketing campaign."
Details of the Virtual Broker program are clearly outlined on the Backstage website at www.backstagetoronto.com.
Backstage is located on the southeast corner of Yonge and the Esplanade, opposite the Sony Centre. The 36-storey point tower is an elegantly slim glass and steel structure rising from a four-storey podium. The roof of the podium will be a garden in the sky complete with a 55-foot swimming pool and cascading waterfall. The lobby will feature elegant stone accents blending natural materials with contemporary.
The location is within minutes walk of the downtown financial core and equally close to the pleasures of the historic St. Lawrence Market neighborhood. Union Station with its Via Rail, Go Train and subway lines is two minutes walk to the west. The Air Canada Centre is an equally short walk across Yonge Street and, of course, the Gardiner Expressway is just a few hundred yards further on.
The Virtual Broker program will be in effect until the end of November.
