Aurora Trails is Coming this Spring!
By Lucas on Apr 01, 2014
Aurora Trails, a new community by Arista Homes, Fieldgate Homes, OPUS Homes, and Paradise Developments, is set to launch this spring at Leslie Street and St. John’s Sideroad in Aurora!
With four of the Greater Toronto Area’s top home builders involved at Aurora Trails, offering their own distinct collections of singles, semis, and freehold townhomes, the selection of homes is bound to be impressive.
Looking into the near future, when Aurora Trails is complete and more than 550 happy families have moved into their new homes, it is exciting to see what this incredible neighbourhood has to offer.
Buying a new home in Aurora
At Aurora Trails, there will be absolutely no shortage of green space. One of the most impressive features is that 40% of the community will be designated as “natural heritage areas,” which will include public parkland, woodlands, protected natural areas, creeks, stormwater management ponds, and linked green spaces.
Another interesting and noteworthy green space feature in Aurora is the new “butternut plantation.” It’s a special grove of butternut trees, which is an endangered species, and “companion” oaks that will help preserve the dwindling population of this species of trees.
There is also a two-hectare community park in planning, which will feature open fields, play courts, playgrounds, a splash pad, gazebo, and more, making it the perfect spot for families to take advantage of the warmer months.
Aurora’s extensive, 15.8 km trail system, which inspired the name “Aurora Trails,” will spread out across the community, giving avid cyclists, joggers, hikers, walkers, and even cross-country skiers room to safely exercise and be active.
Speaking of cyclists, the streets of Aurora Trails will be cyclist-friendly. The primary roads will have bike routes clearly marked for safe travel and to promote alternative, environmentally friendly transportation methods.
Aurora Trails will also pay homage to the neighbourhood’s rich history. The historic, century old, stone Coltham Farm House has been moved to what will eventually be the entrance of Aurora Trails. The farmhouse will be available for community use, and there will be a convenience store and other services offered on the site.
With a great selection of nearby elementary and high schools, and many new schools proposed for just south of Aurora Trails, this community is the ideal location to plant firm roots and raise a family.
