The Anchors West Grand Opening in Mississauga

Prospective Mississauga homebuyers said they wanted more urban towns, so they’re getting more urban towns! Dunsire Developments and Fortress Real Developments are hosting the grand opening of The Anchors at Lakeview West on September 20 from 12 to 5 pm. The East Phase will be launched in the near future.
There are just over 100 units, ranging from 582 to 1,144 square feet, at The Anchors West, so you should register now to be invited to the priority preview opening, which is on the same day, between 12 and 2 pm.

The owner of Dunsire Developments, Shawn Keeper, lives in the area where The Anchors will be built (Lakeshore Road East and Dixie Road) and is a huge proponent of the Inspiration Lakeview plan.
For Inspiration Lakeview, the City of Mississauga is working with Ontario Power Generation (OPG) and the Province of Ontario to improve Mississauga’s eastern waterfront. The ambitious 250-acre master-plan will create 8,000 new residential units, bring 15,000 to 20,000 new people to the area, and create 7,000 to 9,000 jobs. 30 acres will be dedicated to parkland, 10 acres to institutional space, and 5 acres to cultural space. 36 percent of the land will be open space and will include new bike paths, parks, and other vibrant public spaces.

Dunsire and Fortress’ urban town development plays a key role in Inspiration Lakeview because The Anchors development is located along the northwestern edge of the master-plan, and the plan is all about linking the city with the waterfront. The Anchors community will be where the city of Mississauga meets its brand new master-plan. As far as Mississauga locations go, it doesn’t get much more exciting than that.

The fact that the Mississauga homebuyers demanded more urban towns means that there are many young families or people looking to start families interested in living in this up and coming neighbourhood. So it is very important that The Anchors is surrounded by a number of highly regarded schools, such as Christ the King Catholic Elementary, Lyndwood Public, and Humber College.
