A Smashing Success: Averton’s Preview Openings Break Records
By Jen Taylor on Dec 09, 2014
November was an overwhelmingly successful month for Averton Homes. After announcing the development of two new projects in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), the developer hosted two Preview Opening Events for registered homebuyers, offering the opportunity to be the first to select lots and receive preview pricing. Hundreds of young couples, new homeowners, and downsizing couples attended each event, taking advantage of Averton’s exclusive offers and testifying to Averton’s status as one of Canada’s leading residential builders.

On Saturday, November 29, Averton held a Preview Opening Event at Beacon Hill, their newest collection of detached homes in the heart of Bowmanville. Over 500 registered homebuyers were awarded advanced pricing and the opportunity to be the first to select lots before the official grand opening in the New Year.
Just 45 minutes from Toronto, Beacon Hill is ideal for growing families looking to join this picturesque community situated on the shores of Lake Ontario. The child- and pedestrian-friendly neighbourhood includes winding streets and cul-de-sacs complemented by parks and conservation areas. Additionally, the carefully designed streetscapes feature varying elevations and vibrant colour schemes. Each home is composed of varying styles and materials including colour-coordinated brick, vinyl siding, stone detailing, and vinyl Low-E casement windows. These homes range in size from 1,367 to 3,342 square feet on 40’ lots, and are priced from the low $400,000s.
On the interior, the main floor’s 9’ ceilings accentuate each homes’ spacious floorplan. Carefully selected luxurious features and finishes include designer-inspired kitchens, imported ceramic tile flooring, stainless steel double ledge sinks, single lever faucets, quality cabinetry, separate tub and shower stalls, and rolled arborite countertops.

Main Street Seaton Brownstones
Main Street Seaton Preview Opening
One week earlier, Averton Homes held a special VIP Preview Opening Event for the Main Street Seaton brownstone development in Pickering. The beautiful architecture and highly sought-after location attracted over 1,500 registrants and hundreds of attendees. These record numbers made this VIP preview one of the most successful preview events in the GTA.
Main Street Seaton is a master-planned community composed of beautiful Brownstone Townhomes in a variety of designs and three distinct styles; The Garden Towns take a traditional approach and incorporate a classic design, the Coach Towns are comprised of back-to-back townhomes, and the Urban Towns feature a series of contemporary stacked townhomes. These designs offer an alternative to high-rise living and include private staircases that provide access to the upper units. Each design also features colour-coordinated brick with intricate detailing, vinyl siding, and Low-E casement windows. Priced from the mid $200,000s and ranging in size from 788 to 1,418 square feet, this development will officially be opening its doors to the public in the New Year.
Like Beacon Hill, Main Street Seaton will also feature 9’ ceilings on the main floor to accentuate the spacious designs. Each unit will include a front loading stacked washer and dryer, a designer-inspired kitchen, custom-quality cabinetry, a kitchen island, and contemporary stainless steel appliances.

Main Street Seaton is located in a growing city that is home to a beautiful waterfront boardwalk, excellent shops, several art galleries, and a plethora of unique restaurants. Stop in for some Indian cuisine at Zeera by the Bay, enjoy authentic jerk chicken at Patois, treat yourself to sushi at Sakura Sushi Japanese Restaurant, or sip a cup of tea at Ray’s Cafe. The city has also cultivated a lively arts scene and is dedicated to promoting culture and entertainment. The city is home to a number of art galleries and recently opened new vendor spaces in Esplanade Park and Pickering Museum Village to create more opportunities for local artists to promote their work.
The vibrant community hosts live theatre events and several festivals throughout the year. Active residents will also appreciate Pickering’s excellent parks and conservation areas. Rouge Park has been awarded National Park status and is a great place for spotting meadow birds, monarch butterflies, and deer. Pickering’s waterfront is one of the region’s best spots for surfing and kiteboarding, and is connected to the province’s extensive Waterfront Trail system.
Pickering was recently designated as an Urban Growth and Mobility Hub, and is scheduled to see significant growth over the next few years. Many of the registrants from the VIP event recognize that Main Street Seaton is a “ground floor opportunity” for new homebuyers to find an affordable home in an up-and-coming community.
