On Sept. 21, we headed up to the Yonge and Eglinton neighbourhood in Toronto to check out the Preview Opening of 2221 Yonge Condos, a new development by Tower Hill Development Corporation.

The Preview Opening

Despite the constant downpour, there was a pretty great turnout at the Preview Opening for 2221 Yonge. A little rain won’t stop serious prospective buyers from getting their first peek at the floorplans for what will certainly be a landmark residence.

The majority of the crowd huddled around the stunning model of 2221 Yonge. Many other families and couples explored the model kitchen and living room, as well as viewed the floorplan options on the mounted touchscreens.

“It’s all about location, location, location. The beauty of this building is that it is walking distance to absolutely everything. You walk to your transit, walk to your groceries, walk to the movies, you walk to the shops, clubs, restaurants. It is a fantastic area. And they’re already digging for the Eglinton Crosstown. By the time this building is built, it will be here,” said Barbara Lawlor, President of Baker Real Estate. “Pei Partnership Architects designed the building. They are a world-renowned company based in New York. They are a truly magnificent architectural firm.”

“My favourite part about 2221 Yonge is the architecture. It is totally unique to Toronto. There are very few buildings like this that absolutely stand out. People are going to want to live here, they’ll want to see it, they’ll come from all over - it’s going to be an attraction,” added Vice President of Baker Real Estate Harley Nakelsky.

About 2221 Yonge Condos

The suites are divided into two sections at 2221 Yonge Condos: Podium Suites and Tower Suites. The Podium Suites range from 386 to 922 square feet, and feature floorplans spanning from studios to three-bedrooms. The Tower Suites range from 423 to 730 square feet, and come in one-bedrooms, one-plus-den, and two-bedroom floorplans.
