What better way to kick off our “Best of 2013” theme than to highlight some of this year’s award winners?
The Ontario Home Builders’ Association (OHBA) Awards of Distinction and the Building Industry and Land Development Association (BILD) Awards are probably the two big ones that attract the most attention every year.
Let’s look back and see which builders and developers took home some of the prestigious awards:
OHBA Awards of Distinction
Project of the Year - Low-Rise: King Oaks by Great Gulf
Project of the Year - High-Rise: The Massey Tower by MOD Developments
OHBA Home Builder of the Year: Reid’s Heritage Homes
It’s worth noting that Great Gulf’s King Oaks also won the award for Most Outstanding Production Built Home (2-storeys, 2,501+ square feet). And MOD Developments’ The Massey Tower won the award for Most Outstanding High-Rise (11+ storeys).
BILD Awards
Home Builder of the Year: Tridel
Green Builder of the Year - High-Rise: Times Group Corporation
Green Builder of the Year - Low-Rise: The Minto Group
People’s Choice Award: INDX Condos by Lifetime Developments and CentreCourt Developments
Project of the Year - High-Rise: The Massey Tower by MOD Developments
Project of the Year - Low-Rise: Edition Richmond by Curated Properties
Best Building Design: The Massey Tower by MOD Developments
Out of the OHBA and BILD awards, MOD Developments came away with the most (out of the “prestige” and “pinnacle” categories).
We congratulate all the builders and developers that won awards in 2013. We’re really looking forward to see who the nominees for next year will be.
Who do you think will be gracing the finalists board in 2014?
